Fur on Flee​k​

Geneva is from eastern Kentucky but moved to Georgetown in 2016 with her husband and three children. She always knew she wanted a career taking care of animals, and achieved her Associates in Applied Science as a Veterinary Technician in 2012. She soon discovered that working in the medical field was not for her, and began pursuing grooming instead. She learned the basics as an apprentice in another groomer's salon, but after moving to Georgetown started grooming in her home as a side job. When COVID hit in 2020, she and the rest of her department lost their jobs. Always the optimist, she took those lemons (along with her unemployment checks and COVID stimulus checks) and used them to open the doors of Fur on Fleek in August of 2020. She is passionate about animal rescue and owns three dachshund mixes and one cat, all adopted from local rescues in Kentucky.
